No one is saying the president is not responsible for security. They are saying that it's ridiculous to trade off freedom for the illusion of security. This concept has been around for quite awhile.For example, it's ridiculous that border patrol can confiscate and search my laptop without a warrant as I cross from Canada.Also, it's ridiculous that the NSA and AT&T worked together to create huge databases of everything on the internet backbone and they got off the hook for it.

Our reasons for invading Iraq is complete bullshit. Terrorism is global.. wake up. We are involved in a cultural and religious war in the region.. its not terrorist. There is hasn't been any link between Al Queda and Saddam. You wanna see a safe haven for terrorist... look at Saudi Arabia. 75% is of the hijackers on 911 were from what countries? Saudi Arabia.. the rest were from Eygpt. Iraq needs to be done with.
