ive never heard anyone compare joe to srv and jmh. if ted did that it only hurts him (besides, ted isn't blues, especially w/ those lame 8 gauge wussy strings.) yor trying too hard to make yor point. if you need to really on quotes, quote bbking when he said kws is the man as far as blues goes. without taking anything from joe- he`s damn good- he`s no kws, forever.

To everyone who loves this(and you should) spend the money and pick up an authentic copy, not a bootleg. You get a CD that is kick ass from beginning to end, an excellent DVD full length documentary, and proceeds go to a benefit fund for old blues musicians down on their luck.

sry Derrick, But i agree with Bluesman. I saw him play just this summer. He's is good, he can jam, but he has no feeling. Blues is speaking through a guitar, not just playing it. Joe somewhat lacks in the latter statement.

Derrick,To each his own I'd say. It's clear to see that you and me have a very different idea of what the Blues is all about.Although I do respect your point of view,it's not mine, to say the least.I'm not a blues-rock fan, nor a KWS fan.J.Bonamassa can maybe technically outplay most other guitar players, I agree on that. But the Blues isn't about competition and being able to show off IMHO.It's about touching the heart.Peter Green, for instance, does that for me Bonamassa fails to do so.

BluesmanDizzy: If you actually believe in your mind (denail, apparently) that KWS is better than Joe Bonamassa, then go on believing that, because most everyone knows that Kenny isn't in Joe's league! And he isn't. Joe has been compared to the likes of SRV, Buddy Guy and Jimi Hendrix and he's only 31 years old. It's quite apparent that Joe is the future of blues. Even Ted Nugent said that! Kenny doesn't come close to Joe, and you know it.

Joe Bonamassa?! Hahahah! You wish! He's all technique, but has not the slightest bit of feeling for the Blues in him.The Blues doesn't ask for 'technicians. Playing less notes(but the ones that count!) is more!Good name though 'Massa, he does it honour since he overdoes (and overdoses) everything he plays. If you're happy with that, fine with me, evryone is entitled to have his own taste of course. But a reaction like"Joe Bonamassa OWNS KWS"is over the top too IMHO.
