This is just a short film to say thank you to all the hats here on PI! I'm a proud DI wife. I see just how hard these men work.I really never knew how much hard work was involved in being a Drill Instructor. That is, until my husband voluntarily chose to become a DI, here on Parris Island. These DI's go through a grueling, 12 week training also known as drill instructor school. Afterwards, they are away from their families on an average of 120 hours a week! for 12 weeks at a time. No weekends off. No government holidays,...nothing. After their recruits graduate as Marines, the drill instructor may get on an average 1-2 weeks off, Before starting 12 weeks on the recruits, all over again. For the next three years! -There are no words to quite describe it. I've never seen harder working people. I'm very proud of them ALL! Especially 3rd BN Co I.I love my husband very much. And appreciate his ability to drop his work at the door, when he comes home. And how after a ridiculously exhausting day, he still gets down on his hands and knees and plays with our 2 year old daughter, Hannah. He's the best husband and father a family could ever ask for! Thank you Lord Jesus! And I thank my husband for standing firm in his faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. And guiding this family in the truth of the Lord. Graduated Mike Co more than a year ago and I have to say I still have no clue how Drill Instructors do what they do. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity when I get back from Iraq next year.

I love all that "Christian fanatic stuff" at the bottom of my video details...... I also "LOVE" how the liberal left tries to shove "tolerance" down everyone's throat, EXCEPT when others might disagree or believe with them!! And then they do everything they can to muzzle and silence their "opposition".So pardon me while I openly express my religious beliefs, and return the favor of liberal "tolerance" by deleting you ignorant comment. (You know who you are)

Don't worry about being an honor grad. Concentrate on becoming a Marine first and the rest will take of itself. You will learn fast it's not about you anymore. The Marines are just one big TEAM and putting yourself ahead of the TEAM will get you nowhere. Good luck.

How to earn Honor grad: 1. Become Guide- and keep it. 2. Do what you're told. 3. the usual saying: speed, volume, intensity. 4. Try to have the highest PFT/ Rifle score. That's some general stuff. I really don't know for sure b/c the honor grad was in a different platoon than mine. And just to let you know- whoever is guide at the start doesn't mean they're always going to be guide. And if you do become guide- don't be an asshole. Be intense- but don't shit on the other recruits. Good luck.
