Eraserhead was about fear of fatherhood.EM and TSS are both humanist classics and cotain an elegance that is lacking in his other films.I think both start with a shot of the night sky,which, as an opening gamit,is intensely moving and goes to show the size of Lynch's balls as a film-maker.

I disagree.David Lynches best movie was Eraserhead purely for being the only movie that NOBODY can interpret it's actual meaning. It is considered a piece of art b/c of the different feeling you get every time you watch it. That and it's FUBAR!!!Blue Velvet was pretty F%&#ed up as well.
