It was a sad day for the world when we lost Sandy Denny, such a beautiful voice, if there is an afterlife, well..........

What can you say about Sandy Denny and Linda Thompson? Stunning for writing {Denny} and interpretation {Thompson}. Music that is special to the people who actually listen to it. iPod up your arse.

My favourite singer ever. I was named after one of their songs

The 5 yrs between 67and 72 were magical times which will never be repeated.Fairport were mind blowing musically - RT's sweet singing guitar and Sandy's haunting voice. I was part of a similar band at the time and we did cover versions of their songs as well as our own stuff.Anyone remember open air gigs at Queen Margaret College (Edinburgh) during that period - we played a couple of times. It was just so chilled out! If anyone used to go to these gigs, I would love to hear from them.

Well there is hope. My 11 year old grandson listens to RT constantly and appreciates every note and lyric. No techno-pop or hip-hop for him.
