first off you dont "need to pursue them on the ground". you dont have to grapple a person because they fall on the ground. you can very easly stomp and kick the crap out of a guy who is on the ground. why do you think so many MMA orginations outlaw it. its not because it useless, its because it could do major bodly damage. second ""im unable to continue du to pain" thats not the end, its just when you know youre close." thats called attempted manslaughter.

jiu jitsu is a very useful matial art. EVERY fighting should know what to do incase the fight goes to the ground. i hvae actually taken people out in a street fight with that arm bar. they dont tape out i just hyper extend it until i hear a crack then i know they cant do anything else.

when a real fight goes to the ground you need to finish it shoulung. when someone falls down you need to pursue them on the ground until they are no longer a threat to you. and when an opponenet is "unable to continue to do injury or pain" they are very much able to continue until they are uncontious. haha "im unable to continue du to pain" thats not the end, its just when you know youre close.
