lol. I understand what you're saying. I think the Gracie's are just trying to protect a franchise, and those national fans are revering a hero. Of course Jiu Jitsu is entirely Japanese; I think these fighters were just at the right place at the right time to really capitalize on the strengths of their art and make it synonymous with themselves.

I think that Gracies are just too commercial, as well as this video.

Then I'am right! Sorry for not making it Clear... Im talking about BJJ. Im just tired of everybody making the gracie's into a god in mma. all they did was cherry pick from traditional Jiu jitsu, and perfected those moves.

Hi. How do you mean jiu jitsu has no stand up game? JJ has the whole game: kicks, punches, throws, ground fighting (and self defence). Roughly explained it's the combination of karate/judo/taekwondo, and the actual proportions of the mix depends on style. But if you're referring to BJJ then I'd say you're right.

Not hating on his success. It just bothers me when someone claims, that he would have been able to beat Kimura. If they were in the same weight class. After he BARELY beat Kato WITH a weight advantage. Humility is something the should teach in Gracie Jiu Jitsu, besides He didn't invent Jiu Jitsu. to me it will never be BJJ it will always be JJJ.

Don't hate on the Gracies just cause they have made money off this sport. This is America and that's how is goes down here homie...

look to end it all right now... the only difference between judo and jiu jitsu is, jiu jitsu has no stand up game. on the ground they have the same moves. what you have to remember is all fight start standing up. and for the record, there is no gracie past or present who could of beaten Kimura.
