Wife and I Like to listen to this song while were driving down the road on vacation. Our three kids got to listen to this song alot thruogh the last twenty years. It's kind of cool to be able to get it off of youTube to listen to again since hace lost our cassette tape from years gone by. BigT

Clint Walker would have been a good one to be Big John. If you remember the movie the Dirty Dozen it fits him to a tee except that he was even bigger at 6'6" but in his day was a chiseled fellow. Clint also played Cheyenne in a 50's series by the same name.

If I'm not mistaken Jimmy wrote this song on an airplane. He had to go see some big record execs in Nashville, but as he got on the plane to go, he had nothing to pitch to them. This song came to him in a few minutes on the plane. |
