It has been overblown because many people seem to believe JFK was the love of Marilyn's life and that Marilyn was JFK's main mistress; due to their schedules, they could not have met more than a few occasions, and JFK bedded half of Hollywood, Marilyn was one of many flings. That's what I mean, a few bios have mentioned it, but no direct source has claimed Marilyn called the White House or had delusions about becoming the First Lady.

why did you say previously that the affair has been overblown? Her calling the White House like a pyscho was in her biography Marilyn Monroe The Final Days

You said Marilyn was disrespectful to Jackie and was calling the White House, so I assumed that's the story you were referring to. My point was that nobody knows how Marilyn felt regarding the Kennedies, so to claim that she expected to become First Lady (which I highly doubt) is ridiculous. Many people, some of whom knew Marilyn personally (her psychiatrist, masseuse, dress fitter) have verified the MM/JFK affair, but where does this story about her calling the White House originate from?

I don't know why you replied that to me. I never said the Kennedys killed her and I don't think that. I agree that Marilyn committed suicide.

I didn't say Marilyn called Jackie at the White House. Did I say that? No. I was talking about Marilyn calling JFK and RFK at the White House. If you dismiss any sources about Marilyn calling the White House or wanting to become First Lady then you also have to dismiss sources that claim JFK and Marilyn had an affair. |
