The most technical guys in the world, from a grappling standpoint, were trained primarily in the gi....I fail to see how that's useless. The gi teaches you to understand grappling from a technical view that is much harder to achieve any other way. Do you have to modify what you do somewhat? Yeah, But hell, what do the best grapplers on the planet know anyway?....:/

I have nothing against gays, I have some gayfriends like any openminded adult. I don't care what your sex pref is, not even in the martial arts club. I just don't like other mens sweaty bodies. The same goes for girls who didn't take a shower afterwards :)

For MMA gi's are a waiste of time. Unless russian MMA like combat sambo fights. Anyway I like grappling, I like bjj, mma all martial arts. My point is, I think I'm not the only guy (and nothing to do with homophobic as the childish comment before) who would prefer grappling with a shirt instead of sweating bodies against one another. But those are the rules of the sport. |
