This is the famous "Plane Crash Game" -- as seen on ESPN, FOX Sports, "World's Most Amazing Videos" (etc.), and vidclip websites around the Internet. Over a million views on YouTube alone... which is amazing, considering that nobody died. Just think of how many hits there would be if one or two people had been freakishly injured or snuffed! The Cameraman and Producer is Todd Dennis; Gero von Dehn makes the "Crazy Landing" call. Gero is now lead singer for the Pittsburgh, PA metal group "Von Dane"The good news (I guess.. don't know if I want this guy flying again) is that all four people on board survived. The unbelievable news is that the pilot's daughter was playing soccer on the field in the background when it happened, and rushed to her father's aid!! Story Here: http://alaskan-legacies.com/ab... batter is Jeff Culpepper (Cubs). After the game resumed :45 later, Jeff took the first pitch to the wall in right. Alaska Goldpanners of Fairbanks beat the Anchorage Bucs - 7/31/2003. Footage courtesy of PannerVision and the Goldpanners - http://www.goldpanners.com

mr woodsballer- of coarse the game should have come to a halt if the plane hit one of the player. good gosh, that would have been a disasteryour missing my point sir. the plane didnt crash on the field of play but rather a totally separate field. no need to bring the game to a halt thank you very much. the ump blew it, the coaches blew it, and the players blew itfrom what im concerned the jury is still out on whether or not your anti-american if you cant wrap your head around this mix-up

Like I said, you are a sad, sad human being. And no, I am NOT anti-american. I am a Desert Storm Veteran, you ignorant jock. I believe those players should be applauded for their efforts to help another human in distress. How can you possibly say I have a bad attitude? One final thought..Should they have continued to play if the plane killed one of the players!? Put that in your pipe and smoke it, sir.

woodsballer- the fans paid to watch baseball players play a baseball game. NOT engage in some half hearted emergency services drillyou do like baseball dont you? you know, americas pastime? maybe your problem is that your anti-american and dont even know it yet. i dont care what kind of talent you would have had. you wouldnt had survived my first round of cuts based upon your bad attitudecoach freemanlake erie penn leaugeamherst rattlers

How can ANY decent human being IGNORE another human in danger?! Baseball is a GAME! Games do not matter in the long run...what does matter is the value of another human life. Anyone who believes that a game should go on while someone lies in a wrecked plane, possibly dieing, should have their head examined! You, sir, are the worst kind of jock there is, with no regard for other people. "..ignored the outside interference..." What a jerk!
UTubeEmployee3383 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
and this one as well watzupc) the coaches players and announcers conducting themselves like this is a jefferson city sandlot game. they should have ignored the outside interference and continued on with the game. i believe the left fielder was the first to leave the field-of-play. his team should had been forced to forfeit
UTubeEmployee3383 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
mr danbeb- excuse me sir!yes, you ignore the distraction and continue playing as if nothings happened. its call focus and thats what these players (not very good ones at that) lackdo you see derek jeter dashing out to the parking lot during the middle of the game to check up on car crashes? the correct is answer is NO and thats because he's a professional"a winner never quits a quitter never wins"coach freemanamherst rattlers

Whoa. I would laugh at this sometimes because it can look silly, but to take to account, it really is amazing that everone survived.
