It just wouldn't be Thomas Dolby if he had done that. Tom always went for a more Technopunk/Victorian Era styling. Not to mention music videos back in the 80's were about experimentation of the medium because they were so new, not formulaic like nowadays.

so true, this video is freakin rough. should have been nothing but hot models in bikinis getting out of a pool in slo-mo like Phoebe Kates in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. simple but effective. |
