It is about more than what Tevye sings about--I always wonder what do our youth really know of tradition and balance, today with the way so many jews and gentiles alike all younger than 40 tend to sway from the better regard of the concept of humility. Sorry for interfering! ^^ As a devout Catholic, I understand where femsual is coming from when s/he says that they appreciate the Jews, because they did bring us Jesus Christ. As an avid fan of great drama, I agree with Dennis because Fiddler on the Roof is about so much more then the fact that they are Jewish. I hope you both have good Christmases and that my message reconciled your two opinions. Adieu!

im not looking to understand some actor on a movie- im simply stating that i love the jews- as a born again christian since 1996, unless u are one yourself u couldnt possably understand my affection for the jews.Have a good christmas dennis, but please try to remember who's birthday were celebrating-- only the greatest jew to have ever lived.and im not refering to Tevye

You have GOT to be kidding.I'm neither Jewish nor Christian, but I'm not going to trivialize this drama about human nature and the conflict of tradition versus reality... and, more importantly, versus love.Watch Tevye again, try to understand him... and you may begin to see how ignorant "I so love the jews--after all theyh brought us the savour" sounds to people who actually understand this play.How you trivialize it with your remark!--Dennis
