Err... you use more than one group of techniques in combat. Ninjustu is, as I said, the group of techniques dealing with avoidance and maneuverability. Other groups of techniques, such as taijutsu, which actually is the group of techniques dealing with using your body to it's fullest, instead of external weaponry, can be, and often is, used together with ninjutsu. I didn't mean to imply that ninjutsu has nothing to do with combat. Only that it isn't specifically combatative in nature.

if it isnt obvious already, im a practitioner of ninjutsu.
weloveyoudimebag (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
sure, just tell me what my martial art is...since your the practitioner of it, not me, i forgot.ninjutsu spans over a number of skills. taijutsu is the element of barehanded combat.theres many divisions, such as bojutsu - the element of bo staff fighting.how can you maneuver in and out of combat when you dont know how to be a combatant?you cant.you just disproved yourself basically.

As he says in the beginning, he's trying to teach NORMAL PEOPLE how to use some basic staff techniques in their cardiovascular workout. He's not claiming to teach any kind of combatative art.

Ninjutsu isn't for combat. It's for staying hidden and maneuvering in and out of combat.

roronoanne, its true that karate means empty hands, but having said that once you reach higher ranks you learn weapons as well so your a more rounded fighter.having said that - karates pretty lame as far as combat arts go...if you wanna stick with japanese learn ninjutsu, or if ur goin chinese learn kung fu or jeet kun do.
