Ass of himself? Right after I read that nothing you say has any validity to me. There isnt a more technially sound drummer in the world then Neil.

I dont know why ,but he made and ass out of himself doing that tribute.he was completly out of his league. A rock drummer trying to swing like a jazz drummer is impossible.Once again i respect neil peart for his uniqe sound but nobody makes odd times sound as natural as phil .That by the way is a qoute from neil himself regarding phil.Youre at an age where all you respect is chops and solos , open youre ears a bit and listen to groove. neil is great for rush but he is a stiff player .

nope not at all xDhe plays good but he's not up to Neil Part :/watch out for thomas lang he , for example, has an amazing technique and is fast without getting unclean

Maybe you should listen to Der Trommler it goes through many different drumming styles so nice try. Oh, and did Phil Collins ever get invited to do the Buddy Rich tribute.

neil would call you an idiot for saying that, seeing as phil is one of his idols. plus phil has been asked to play on hundreds of artists albums because of his amazing feel that neal does not possess.Dont judge him by one solo . and check out some brand x than make an educated comment.neil peart is a great drummer inside of rush, but jazz ,latin or funk? forget it.
