July 2006Conservatives in Indonesia see the new anti-pornography law as a stepping-stone to imposing Sharia Law. But moderates claim the law criminalises women. Under the proposed law, kissing in public or wearing short clothing would be outlawed. "They're trying to push Indonesians to be conservative", fears feminist Dr Gardis Aviva. The bill is being promoted by the Islamic Defenders Front, led by a cleric who studied Whabbism in Saudi Arabia. But opponents argue that Whabbism goes against traditional Indonesian culture. "We have a very different tradition of Islam. We have never had a history of adopting Arabic culture," explains Dr Ariva. Already, Sharia style laws are creeping into many Indonesia towns.

skarang kan ada UU anti pornografi dgn alasan tingginya tingkat perbuatan kriminal yg disebabkan oleh pornografi..harusnya ada jg dong UU ANTI KEKAYAAN,kan byk tuh perbuatan kriminal ky pencurian & pembunuhan yg dsebabkan kecemburuan sosial..berani ga tuh pejabat2 bikin pasal: setiap orang dilarang memiliki kekayaan yang menimbulkan kecemburuan dan/atau melanggar nilai-nilai kesusilaan dalam masyarakat???!?koq yg diurus pornografi doang?

It's better to support x-rated Indonesian pornographies than to be the terrorists and pigs. If Islam is not a terrorist, Muslims should not attack Christians in Maluku and Poso. No 9/11 attacks at all. No Osama bin Laden. That's why you support anti-porn because you are the real pig and terrorist, satanist too. You want to change Indonesia into hell like Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
