Alright folks, the fixed fight was supposed to go to a draw so they could set up rematches thus gaining more revenue. Out of nowhere, Rikidozan started kicking and swinging at Kimura. Imagine your kid was at a tourny for one of those acrobatic McDojos and in the middle of a presentation, your kid gets punched in the neck. I refuse to believe Kimura, one of the best Judokas of all time got bitch slap KO'd for real.

I read Rikidozan was "taken out" for illegally striking Kimura in his windpipe so he win

It's a shame really. just look the beginning of the fight, when rikidozan seize Kimura, Kimura let Rikidozan seize him, there is one second during which he let Rikidozan do his technique, do you really think that a master of ju jitsu is that slow ?? Fake fight (and i'm not a Kimura fan, that's the first time i see this video)

As a wrestler Rikidozan was anything special according to Lou Thesz. Furthermore, keep in mind that Inoki who was trained by Rikidozan moved on to a more perfect style and teacher in Karl Gotch. The Japanese are almost entirely responsible for the existence of MMA. All roads lead back to Japan.

I agree with you. It's a shame some fans can't accept Kimura defeat.

OWNED. haha.In martial arts Mas Oyama defeated all in japan. In wrestling Rikidozan did same. In mma, Akiyama Yoshihiro is going around challenging and defeating different japanese fighters, having only one loss to a French kickboxer. All throughout, Japan continues to make excuses to hide their major defeats. History repeats itself. |
