I would assume BJJ, Sambo, or Judo as the most powerful skills to take down any sized person. Drunken Monkey is more standup, and NinJutsu I believe isn't a martial art. I plan to continue to take classes, mainly for exercise, but there is skill in every martial art, so to each their own.

Ninjitsu isn't a martial art.

capoeira can be very useful in any situation. the media is trying to get us to think beating the shit out of someone is the way to go. not ture at all. confusing and overpowering your opponent will ensure a victory. capoeira, drunkin monkey and ninjitsu have the most useful and most powerful skills to take down any sized person or persons. i hope you will continue your teaching of capoeira :)

you guys think capoeira is what this guy is showing u? ye hes fucking great with his jumps, handstands and all jump kicks freezes and shit no joke. but thats a smal part of capoeira, if u go back 80 years there where now backflips, capoeira was iligal u go to prison or get killed by the cops if they catch u. in the street rodas it wasnt rare to se guys with razorblades cuting each other up to death and thats no bullsh§t. capoeira is dance but its fight as well. sorry 4 bad english

Just had my first class about 4 hours ago. My feet are absolutely burning from constantly doing the "jinga". The moves are definetely all about rythym and seem fun to practice. I've had Muay Thai experience and I just can't see how this style could be effective in a live situation. Yeah the kicks are flashy and would be effective, but this wouldn't be my "meat & potatoes" of self defense, lot of fun to try, good constant movement n exercise

Good luck man...the first practice will be one of the most tiring things you have ever done, your feet will get covered in blisters and your body will hurt for days...but it still will be fun lol

I've said it before, this can be a great style to train in but looks hard as hell to keep the rythm smooth especially after impact.
