In fact not only that, but the uesage of Ryu as anything more than a one off is just tedious as well. He and Ken and obviously later Akuma are some of the most used game characters in anything ever. It's really boring to watch them since I've seen it all before 1000 times. At least when he chose Sim he was using a character that had some unusual playing aspects.

And anyway I never said balls will win you the match. But rather with balls you can actually have a match which is entertaining. I mean who really enjoys guys who are terrified of moving forwards unless they know for a fact they can land some hits? I might not be anything like as good as Daigo, but the way he plays with Balrog in this game is exactly the same mentality wise as me.

I've played street fighter alpha 3 for over 400 hours and my sf2 hyper doesn't record the time but I'd guess it's not too far off. I'm well aware that fireballs are not certain victory, but considering it's a game playing any game with ONLY winning in mind is something i find unbelievably boring. sure this is an important game for him and he really doesn't want to lose, but that doesn't mean the only solution is to play like that. TZW wanted a fight, with ryu he should at least give him that.

You make the classic mistake of thinking that balls = victory. If throwing 100 Hadokens can win you the match, then throw 100 Hadokens.Only a fool plays for the crowd.

At least P2 tries to have a fight. I thought the first fight was really entertaining as the DJ and Sim playing was very nicely matched. That Ryu was just so dull it's untrue though. Wow, a Ryu whoring fireballs for a match. Who might have guessed it.... I don't care if it was a rankings match, at least show some balls like P2 did.
