No judo didn't invent the flying arm bar Fusen ryu did and thats where judo got it from but they (fusen guys) got it from old school jujitsu rookie.

my friend i personally have never had the pleasure of this, but im sure a full on punch to the face hurts a hole lot less then a full on kick to the face, an ya 2 vs 1 is never fair, it depends on what you can do, if youve trained your whole life on the ground than ya you might do ok, bu ti still think its a bad idea

you have right... Judo is Newaza to.. I been doing Martial Arts for 32 years, Kyokushin Kai Kan.. 5 Dan, Kosen Judo 4 Dan, Combat Sambo - Sambo 3 degree, Muay Thai, and still fighting MMA today. Like they say back in Japan, want to learn Newaza No Densho, go to the Kosen Judo, want to learn to trow go to the Kodokan. I do have one thing to say! not impressed with BJJ or GJJ.

kalikaputra, your another person who knows nothing of Judo, I trained Kodokan judo for 12 years, we have a very strone newaza, I have fought against guys who have trained with the Gracies and put both hands behind my back and pinned them with just my body weight and shifting movement, our arm locks and strangles work faster and are more precise than what I have seen from BJJ. Gracies learned there Newaza from judo so don't say we don't have a Newaza cos we do and it is very strong

no individual martial art is the best but with the exception of Jeet Kune Do and Nippon Kempo...since they both incorporate all martial arts together!

I am a second degree black belt in daito ryu Jujitsu and I love it,but I tell you this with out newazi your always incomplete. For opponents of lesser ability you can get by with tachi or te or ashi wazas etc,but if your unfortunate enough to fight a high qaulity fighter that knows all the phases of fight you will be in bad shape without newazi. I gurantee you that.Go spar some of your mates that would really give you a good fight.Always learning mate,never limit yourself.

dude im sorry i guess it was a little rude but jujitsu traditional jujitsu has plently of ne waze, judo came from jujitsu, and brazilian wrestling came from judo, so we know all that you know we just dont practice it as often because in a real fight you+ on the ground= stomped

basically im one belt away from black belt or sho dan, musso jikiden eishen ryu is a style of iaido probably the most practiced
