polynesians are asians. asian is the politically correct way to refer to a mongoloid. they are all mongoloids versus caucazoids, negroids, and aborigines, which are the four ethnic groups. polynesians, all asian, american indians are all of the same genetic make up. you can't swith ethnicity with nationality.
