these fight are not from the movies, where every hit is met by o block. they would block if they could, but you wont see it in a clip made only from KO scenes.

all boxing techniques are included in the kyokushin training, but you're not going to see punches thrown to the head on purpose during contests because nobody's wearing any type of protection. the speed and power of these techniques make them very hard to block, and after a tournament there would be a whole of a lot more disfigured karateka. Leg techniques are even more powerful, but a lot slower and can be blocked or dodged easier, and so attacks on the head are permitted.
