look i take back my last comment but I think the killers version is much better because the singer in Joy Division doesn't put enough emothion into the singing. The more you listen to it the more it grows on you. Cheesy dancing tho at 3.20.

To me the Killers version of this song just sounds dull and boring in comparison to the original.

I think both versions are awesome and they are both good bands but the killers added a lot more dynamics to this song which is a crucial element in developing music. That being said Joy Division has that classic sense of originality which makes the song even more interesting. I listen to almost anything including John Phillip Sousa, Greenday , and Ozzy but i will say this both songs are equally matched and by different bands which makes them different songs, same lyrics , but different songs
