I definitely think they were not as socially committed as the Clash- the Clash were after all the ones who sold records ridiculously cheap continuously- I am aware The Clash wouldn't exist without the Beatles, but then again the Beatles wouldn't exist without those who've gone before. The Velvet Underground were a better group anyway.Oh and the Clash weren't claiming to be anarchist, you must be thinking of the Sex Pistols. The Clash were never anarchists.

do you truly believe the beatles had no spirit and passion? you sadly mistaken. the "fake-anarchist" clash wouldn't exist without the beatles.

i cant see how its punk compared to like the sex pistols more alternative rock. but what does this song actually mean hes not the clearest of vocalists and nirvana were a bit overrated but still a great band

Yes that's right, punk is dead,It's just another cheap product for the consumers head.Bubblegum rock on plastic transistors,Schoolboy sedition backed by big time promoters.CBS promote the Clash,But it ain't for revolution, it's just for cash.Punk became a fashion just like hippy used to beAnd it ain't got a thing to do with you or me

"Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust". Now, I am a Beatles fan, but that is my absolute favorite lyric of the song I love it(and the sentiment behind it) is dead on.I love this song. I have it on repeate all the time because its so FTW and passionate, true and just epic. |
