Well, in principle you are right. However, did any of those countries/empires/people manage to change the face of the world during their 400-1000 years as we have managed in less than a couple of decades? What may have worked in the past may not be a working solution for tomorrow. Even though I am not as pessimist for the future as most, I can not condone resting on our laurels. Change is needed when we look at our current heading. |
