SO HOMBU.Randathamane- 2nd kuy- so hombu.If its nbot in the aikido syllabus- it cant be aikido can it? Hence ju jitsu- as Tori says. "your aim in JU JITSU" listen to 15 sec to 19 sec. what is to disscuss about that statement?"Your aim in jujitsu is to get your oppentnt off his ballence".

she says Ju-jitsu in the film- an i believe the parcticioner has some idea of what art she is doing. As aikido had not arrived yet in britain (supposedly it arrived in the 60's)she cant be an aikidoka- can she...

Incidentally, she's demonstrating judo, not aikido. But it's really interesting to see a female judoka from this time period.

Nah, most of the techniques in the video are in the everyday cirriculum of the mainstream Aikido. They're exact replicas, except for the kick defense (Aikikai version dumps the uke on the back, not the front) and the "drop from on high", which, although could be easily done by an Aikido practitioner, is usually replaced by something else, like a koshi nage (hip throw).
