wow, i remember this fight! didnt actually see it but was staying at mandalay bay eating right outside the venue and remember everyone exiting just raving bout silva! good stuff! oh yeah, and the next day i walked past a very bruised and battered franklin limping to the pool as i was headin back in...felt a little sorry for the guy!!!

Thsi was actually the first meeting of these two, at UFC 64. Franklin was the champ until this fight, and Anderson has held the belt ever since, and rematched Franklin at UFC 77 in Ohio.

i saw this one ppv at wild wings live a while back... it was 200 ppl screaming for franklin and me and my friend had silvas back.. fuckin great when he wailed on their champ, place went dead silent except for my drunk ass gloating like crazy! i love anderson always have since his pride days

Franklin had'nt a fuckin clue how to deal with that Muay Thai clinch..He kept putting his arms around Silva's head when he should of been putting them under Silva's clinch forcing his chin up! If Rich got them under the clinch he could of blocked some of those knees, Silva is awesome but he had'nt even got a proper clinch locked in, he had for a throw but for strikes he should of had Franklin by the head instead of the neck, either way the guy is a machine but there is 2ways out of that clinch,
