Ahh, you should have made that clear in the begining!

They are both from the same origin. Japanese Jujutsu is the martial art off of which Aikido, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and modern Japanese Jujutsu split and developed. Japanese jujutsu is kind of a mix of judo and BJJ, with a lot of throws and takedowns but also focus on groundwork and submissions. Judo is based on throws/takedowns, but BJJ ("jiu" spelling) took traditional jujutsu to a whole new level with a huge expansion of the ground game through the use of leverage and more submissions.

Ok, let me straighten it out for you. He has sloppy Japanese "jujutsu", so I, as well as any white belt from my gym, would submit him with better Brazilian "jiu-jitsu" techniques. Not hating on all Jujutsuka, but there are clearly major holes in this guy's strategy. First of all, anyone who knows how to fight at all is not going to throw a wild punch and stand there to get thrown, they will snap the one hand back while striking again with the other. His loose armbar would be easily defended

Haha

That would be "Jujutsu". I'd love to see you try, infact, I'd pay you to attack him, just so I can see you have your ass kicked.

"thx for saying that there aren't many nice people on youtube " lots of people on youtube might not be like you think from the comments but give a bad impression because they think if something is done differently from the way they do it then it won't work

yes, jujutsu is an art i will like to study, it does seem effective, but it also sounds just like jiu jitsu, are they a close combination. |
