One Tree Hill mentions "Jara sang his song a weapon ... refers to Victor Jara -who was a songwriter who voiced his opinion against the US backed government of Pinochet. For his "crime" he was viciously tortured and murdered . Victor Jara stadium in Santiago Chile is named after him.

Greg Carroll was from NZ and a roadie for U2, he was knocked off his motorbike and killed one night supposedly running a message for the band. The studio version is good, but seeing this live is awesome.

it is a tribute song to a guy called greg carrol wh was a roadie for them ! i think he died in a car crash !!

too true.if you look at the album sleeve, i think this is a tribue to someone.makes it even more moving when you listen to the lyrics.especially the "i'll see you again..."bit near the end. nice name by the way. hehe
