Isn't this explanation exactly the same. The probability cloud is a bell shaped cloud. So it's not really a different explanation

There is another explanation for why the sun shines. Instead of QT, it may just be that the distribution of energy among the nuclei follows a bell-shaped curve. So even though the nuclei usually don't have enough energy to fuse, every now and then, they do.

the only way that would happen is if all the atoms in the ball happened to be on the other side of the deck all at the exact moment of time that they would come in contact with the deck in which case.....yes it's possible...just extremely and i mean extremely unlikely....cuz you have to deal with so many atoms passing by so many other atoms..just by chanceit has a probability of happeningjust like everyone can win the lotto but it whether it will or if it has happened is a definite unknown
