Anant Sundaram Devaluation of the Dollar

Anant Sundaram, visiting professor of finance at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, speaks about the devaluation of the U.S. dollar. Sundaram predicts that the value of the US dollar will bottom out soon. He says that devaluation of the dollar has actually had a very positive impact some American companies those that are export-heavy have had a huge boost to their earning per share, simply from the translation of foreign currency revenue to US dollars, even if in constant currency terms the company may not have done so well. However, Sundaram explains that depreciation has also lead to the increase in prices of commodities, especially oil.
